GW - Non Bashing

It's dark. It's grim. There's a big eye that's terrorizing. Suck it, Sauron!

GW - Non Bashing

So in the interest of being "fair and balanced" I wanted to take a minute to point out something good GW is doing. If you haven't looked lately, they've got these new "starter boxes" for several factions for $85. These things are SERIOUS deals... The Space Marine one basically gives you a free Venerable Dread. The AOS Nurgle Daemons one gives you $139 in minis for $85 and the other boxes are similarly good deals.

Even better is that these aren't direct only according to a bunch of people online, so you can grab them from Discount Wargame Online Dealer (cough *warstore* cough) and get even more of a bargain!

Check them out when you get a minute... that Nurgle one is probably going to be mine very soon! :)

Some of them are better than others and they don't have them in place for every army yet, but they're really good deals, and at 20% off from the Warstore or what not I would go ahead and say they're an excellent way to bulk out or start an army. Some of the included character models are more useful than others, but man the Tyranid one's a great bundle.

Hah, yeah that Tyranid one is awesome! It's interesting that they're only marketing the Daemons one under AOS... I'm hoping it's just to save money and they figure 40k players can "figure it out"... I'm sure the Interwebs will start screaming that 40k Daemons are going to get squatted!

Also there's supposed to be more of these coming soon... not sure if they'll do every army, but would be awesome if they did.

I await the actual Ork one with bated breath and shallow wallet.

There's a one click bundle sort of thing sold in the same area but it's not the same thing and doesn't save you any money, unfortunately. I'm just happy they're basically bringing battleforces back, those have started a lot of my armies.

I've looked these over and they're some really sweet deals. Toying with the Marines one, but I'm not sure if I need it. But at the Warstore discount could I really go wrong?

worst case you've got some extra tac marines really... the Ven Dread and the character model definitely have uses. And for the tac marines, even if you just made Heavy and Special Weapons from as many as possible it would be worth it.

God dammit Brad stop making sense. Looks like I'll be putting together another Warstore order soon for anyone that wants to jump on.
