Roboute Returns to 40k in March

It's dark. It's grim. There's a big eye that's terrorizing. Suck it, Sauron!

and so does Cypher and some really important looking Grey Knight dude.

There was a WD leak and then GW followed up with a confirmation and filled out the day with full information about the release. Pretty fucking cool.

I really dislike the Rowboat and Cypher models... the GK dude is fine but a bit boring (he looks like a conversion).

Maybe I just liked everything about the old Cypher too much... Rowboat on the other hand looks like a campy action figure.

Cypher looks awesome, but what's with his armor? That's no mark of power armor I've ever seen. it looks like the fantasy chaos knights. Is it maybe customized like the Caliban knights?

The pose of Roboute looks very much like the metal, and even the plastic, demon prince. But hey, he's back, better late than never! I like the old Cypher model just fine but I could pick myself up a new one. I also like the Grey Knight hero. He strikes me as a Librarian but he could be any Brother-Captain hero guy in a pinch. I thought we were getting a new Draigo model though so this is disappointing.

Cypher looks fucking awesome. Roboute looks good but I'd use his helmeted head, after trimming the neck to be shorter. The GK dude is the current grand master since Draigo is off carving his name into Nurgle's heart or whatever. He looks good too but not especially exciting.

I like the Cypher "gunfighter" pose--his left hand going for the other pistol tells you who he is.

But that oversized sword on his back is just stoopid. It's just ridiculously out of scale--that cross-guard is almost as wide as Cypher's power-amored shoulders...

There's a reason he hasn't ever drawn that sword... It's allegedly Lion El Jonson's, which is probably why it's so massive.

And the sword that Rob has is the Emperor's sword. That has got to have some bonkers rules attached to it.
