Looks great, JR, amazing just as I expected! I love the palette you used, perfect for the game!

That's EXACTLY what I said... "JR, plus, you need to play so Matt and Marc can stop winning all the painting awards!" ;)

Hahaha, Thanks. Well since my strategy is nill and I am too much of an ass to win the sportsmanship price I will try for the painting competition but I have some way to go. Everybody painting malifaux figures appears to make extra efforts, probably because there is so few figs to paint.

No I did not do the base I bought it from Dragonforge (crux machine base).

Joss. I realized that I am more of the type of painting skirmish games than squad base games (since I take so much time painting 1 mini). 1 mini per week at this rythm (...let it flow, let yourself go...slow and low, that is the tempo).
There is a perk. I am pretty happy with my bronze cog effect so my brass arachnid will be easy to do (probably next).

You kicked my ass and he did not do you anything! He merely had a friendly chat with Lilith and could not scratch her. But the giant spider is coming soon :).

Damn sweet looking! There's something nice about painting small forces... probably why I have so many Blood Bowl teams! :) Malifaux is the same way... Largest crew I've fielded so far has been nine models, and the average is seven. So much more manageable, and way more fun!

Awesome paint job on big J. I love the detail in his pneumatic arm.

The brass arachnid.
I like the brass. I think I am going to go away from silver metal for all my steam arachnid and do them brass like that.

I do like the brass. Particularly since it looks as though you muted it a bit with a wash or two since I saw it on the table last week.

Looking great.

Yup. Some layers of diluted black ink and highlights using gold/brass and then adding flashgitz yellow to the gold.
