And the Arcane effigy (Yeah I know I took a shortcut and it looks oddly like my thousand sons).

Yes. You like these colors. The highlights really give the robes a nice sensation of flowing. Nice job.

That is excellent, JR - skintone and leathers in particular.

Great fleshtone. Mind laying out what you did for it? I can never get flesh to turn out how I want it.

Thanks guys.

I had two major challenges, the skin tone and the jeans. For the skin I went back and fort. If I remember well I began with a base coat of elf flesh, followed by Reikland flesh shade and highlight with elf flesh. Then she looked like a zombie...too pale. So I took a pinker skin tone, dilute it quite a bit and applied it on top and left it at that. I wont do that again, I think elf flesh will be solely for very pale highlights in the future.

For the jeans I discovered that the best way of highlighting them is not with blue but with grey! Base coat is maccrage blue then highlights of Russ grey and mixing paler grey. I retouched the shadow area with Asurman blue wash. It's not prefect but good enough for me.

@ Matt. How did you find this model? I really like it in general, she is badass, but I am used to better detail on Wyrd miniatures. The hair have absolutely no volume and ridges and the grooves in the belt are very shallow.

Everything was pretty straightforward except the stripes. I am not very good at freehand painting....even if it is just lines.
