Those models look pretty sweet assembled. Can't wait to see some paint on them!

What color will you paint their huge human dongs?

Oh, another modeling update: In addition to dongs, they also have anuses. So there's that.

But are they human anuses to match the human dongs?

Anus is anus.

I really want to post up the pictures of a cat butt and a human butt to highlight the differences, but figure others might not appreciate my gesture...

I'll move along now...
"Christianity is the belief that a cosmic Jewish zombie, who was his own father, can make you live forever, if you symbolically eat his flesh and drink his blood, and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity, because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree.... makes perfect sense.

Okay, after some technical difficulties, here are the flesh hounds. I love the broken chains--they're off the hook, yo!

I learned a few lessons when I painted the three other hounds that came with the FW ogryn pack master. I didn't give the new ones a third highlight layer of pink. I think that was too much. I used purple wash to darken/deepen the scars, because that worked well for the Chaos star brand on the old ones (one of which is in the background).

So... those guys look way more "fluid and killy" with paint on them then they did when they were unprimed. I really like the models a lot more now, and I didn't dislike them before. They look awesome Ron!

Yeah, those look like nasty daemons that will be all up in my grill on turn 1, and the raw flesh color of them just makes them look angrier and more dangerous.

Re: Ron's Hot 'n Sexy '16 Painting League Thread (Sept)

Postby NobleSavage » Sun Sep 11, 2016 3:27 pm

I think Brad posted a "Ron! September!!??" reminder to this post while I was goofing around uploading pictures and getting distracted by brightly colored objects, but here we go...

PERSEVERE! (Damn my eyes if I can remember to put the code word in the shot. You boyz will just have to trust me, knowing that I'm rarely smart enough to attempt dishonesty.)

I'm using a WFB Exalted Deathbringer conversion as Skulltaker, one of the nastier (and points-cheap, like, broken cheap) HQ options. The model is pretty darn cool as is, but to 40K-ify him, I added bolt pistols to the back of his Freddy Krueger blade gauntlet. I'll probably add some assault grenades to his belt. I'm trying to decide if I want to add a power generator and/or a power cable to that monster axe, which "counts as" the Slayer Sword, which is not named "Steve"... BRAD. As with Kharn, I mounted him on a big, elaborate base to make him stand out amongst the eight bloodletters that will eventually accompany him on his deep-strike, murderific shenanigans. (And will probably be October's painting league goal.)

The "bolt spitter" gauntlet:

Don't stare at Skulltaker's ass. He hates that. Although he does want you to know that the whole reason he works out is to look good for you.
