You paint too well.

Please paint worse next time.

Honestly, this think is fucking amazing.

The greens are perfect and the stripe jumps out and bites you (in a good way).

What happened to "Nah, I don't want to play FOW, I have enough miniature games".

Are you just trying to sandbag so you can get ahead of the curve?

Great model. It's great that you picked up some Russians. That could be right out of the book.

What's it like painting something that small?

I had a lot of fun painting this model. Its been challenging to find the "right" green within the citadel range but camogreen with a wash of traka green and devlan mud did the trick.

I did not find this 15mm scale tank more difficult to paint as compared to a 28mm scale marines.

Next....ISU-152 !!

Camo green looks like the highlight. Didn't you use catachan green underneath, or orkhide shade as a base.

Oh yeah.

Since you've explained the way in which you've painted these tanks, you can really see how much mucking and shading the devlan mud wash does. I think it's great. I'd like to see you do some T34s and some infantry.

And the full ISU Platoon.
IS-2 heavy tank command, 2 ISU-152 howitzer assault gun and 2 ISU-122 Tank destroyer (alright, they cant be all in the same squad, I will have to paint more cannon to make them all 122 or 152 depending of my tactics. these will be the monsters of my Batalion, everything else will be smaller.

My test run at a team of Soviet Sapper with prototype body armor. Since these guys are so small, the base represent a large part of the model so I have put more effort in it than I would normally do for 40K. Since these guys are usulally used for defense fortification or as an assault force on entrenchment I decided to go for bases with all kind of defense fortification or rubble on it. I will probably add barbwire to this one in the future. For a while I tried to do an "amoeba" camo pattern typical of soviet sapper batalion but it just looked like shit, so I went back to camo green. My regular infantry will be a paler comando khaki.

Infantry looks great.

Simple is probably best, and I don't think you need to change anything other than what you're doing with them.

The basing is awesome. Love the grass and the twigs.

My first 5 T-34-85. I decided to try Jon's mudding (white glue, sand, paint). It took a quite a bit of courage to muddied-up painfully highlighted models but I am happy with the results so far.
