Very nice.

Is that everything in your list?

Wow. That must have taken a ton of time! Looks like a gauntlet has been thrown into the ring!

New Armies for everyone!

Can't wait to see even more of these guys!

What's your color scheme?

Right now it's plastic grey. I'm thinking of doing a fairly strait forward Leviathan purple scheme but will not really know until I paint a few sample guys.

Simple, and elegant in its expediency.

So I decide to convert a Tyranid Prime out of a normal Tyranid Warrior since there is no model for it. I wanted to make him larger then the normal warrior.

Image
Image
I cut the body in half and increase the size both vertically and horizontally.

Image
I let the inside green stuff dry under my hot lamp and then did some finishing green stuff on the outside. I also cut the legs up at the joints and reposed them so that he would stand taller.

Image
I took some bits left over from my Tyrant kit to change the tail. I also used the bottom part of the swarmlords head to make the primes head larger then a nomal warrior.

Body and legs assembled.

Finished

Compared to a normal warrior.

All in all I think it came out well. Now I just need to make some mycetic spores.

Looks awesome... could we maybe get slightly better comparison shots? It looks really nice, but a little far back to really see the difference.

Prime looks very good. That's a nice way of modeling that. It's often hard to tell a prime from a normal bug when people just go "this one here's the prime". :)

Can't wait to see some color scheme tests :)
