Nice. I don't do any eldar flavors anymore and I appreciate looking at some nice models from a great range.

Great moody blue/greens on those guys, and crisp paintwork overall. Love em!

A WIP archon that I'm sort of playing around with. Not sold myself on the colors of the soul-trap, or the pelt. Unfortunately this is one awful piece of finecast, and I neglected to do the necessary prep/repair before I jumped to painting the sucker. I'll take what works/doesn't work on to the new plastic archon which I hope to pick up soon. Image

Ooh... I like the soul trap. The figure as a whole looks great, especially that purple cape! Looking good!

I like the bright colors of the soul trap as well. Not quite sold on the blue pelt, but hey, maybe they have blue Chinchillas in Commorragh. (They aren't quite right in the head, after all. Dark Eldar, I mean. Not the chinchillas. Obviously.)

Little known fact: The chinchilla, being crepuscular, plays the hottest guitar licks around dusk and dawn.

You're welcome.

Really cooking with the painting lately. We'll see if it lasts once work starts in September. A couple members of the Archon's retinue.

A very WIP Baron conversion (Still like to play fifth when I can, which is almost never)

And the next batch I want to tackle, who will round out the Archon's court with the exception of a single Lhamean (I need to get around to ebaying a metal one sometime, it looks to be way too fragile of a sculpt and I'm already frustrated with the Archon's bendy sword and horns. not to mention anxious about when they will inevitably break)

I've been doing some painting, but no updating!

First, a couple squads of wracks...

Their hideous leader...

From L to R: Lazy kitbashes of Vect, Sliscus, and Sathonyx

Finally painted these troglodytes from earlier...

My first painted vehicle. Maybe I'll warm to the process as I go, but as of right now painting these things is dull and time-consuming...

Let me know what y'all think

EDIT:fixed, thank you Thunderjaw for the tip!

Man, these are looking really nice. Excellent blending and color use. For a "dark" army these really pop.

Edit the pics and put them into "Thumbnail" tags instead of Full-IMG tags... that'll downsize them and make them visible for the post but let people click them and see them full size.

Now that we're past the technical parts... Fucking models look awesome! I love the kitbash Dark Elf lord. He has a "heavy martial" look to him while still looking "sleek and murdery". And I concur with Mason that the army is maintaining a level of color and pop while still looking dark and thematic.
