Jeremy's Gremlins

Postby Zombie » Sat Aug 24, 2013 10:26 pm

I started work today on Jeremy's Malifaux Gremlins. Not much to report yet as all I have done is clean up Som'er and some Bayon Gremlins. I'll update this more as I do more work on them.

I'm already excited (and yet depressed) to see what you turn out. And the fucked up part is I won't have to wait long to see it.

Booyah! :-D
"Christianity is the belief that a cosmic Jewish zombie, who was his own father, can make you live forever, if you symbolically eat his flesh and drink his blood, and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity, because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree.... makes perfect sense.

I've done a little work on some bases. I wanted to try out some water effects. I just poured the water on the bases so we will see how it cures. I plan to add some more stuff to the bases afterwards.

I painted up the first Bayou Gremlin. Jeremy Let me know what you think about the skin-tone and such. I went with more of a brown-yellow green. If you prefer I can switch it up. I need to get a new camera as it doesn't matter what I do I can't get my pictures to look bight enough.

Those look great! What'd you use for the water effects?

the water is EnviroTex Lite pour-on. It's a two part mix that is normally used to finish table tops. Works good but on bases you are better of spooning it on with a popsicle stick then actually pouring it. This will dry level so if you want ripples you will need to add something like woodland scenic's water effects to the top of it after it drys.

Holy moly, these are awesome! Honestly, I think you are doing an amazing job with the color selection and paint job. I couldn't ask for betters, really. I love the complexity of the bases, and the random pop of color (eyeglass, shirts, etc...).

I'm really floored. This is a wonderful treat to return home to! :)

Looks really killer. Makes me want to start painting some malifaux.
