Somewhere to put my Sons of Horus.

So far, I have finished 1 Rhino:

Looks great. I love the weathering--looks grimy and used, but not over the top. And I've always loved the Luna Wolves color scheme.

So I assume there are more awesome ForgeWorld goodies to come? Sounds promising.

Awesome, what's the green you're using for that?

THEN KEEP FUCKING GOING! ...because it looks nice and we'd like to see more.

Fred, this is a Sons of Horus color scheme not the Luna Wolves.

Nice work. I really like how well you accomplished the rust trails from the bolts. Is that wash or powders?

My one suggestion would be to have added unit markings. You've got the two itty bitty SoH eyes on the front, but no other demarcation. it needs a vehicle number, company number, anything to break it up visually. Unfortunately, it's too late now, as you would obliterate all that wonderful weathering by adding numerals and such at this point.

Hmm. That's a good point. I've got a couple more that I will do that on. I agree, it may be too difficult to hack-in a unit marker now that the entire thing is pretty well and truly dirty.

The green is a combination of USMC Tankcrew from Vallejo and Codex Grey or Adeptus Battlegrey or whatever it is called now.

The rust is actually an enamel product, it's MiG's rust liquid. Works really well, I am very happy with it. It requires a number of applications, as when it dries it is fairly light, but dries very quickly. The only thing I have refrained from doing at this point is varnishing, mainly because it always seems to fuzz on me.

Yeah, absolutely. He's shipping it this week, should have it just after labor day. Unfortunately it won't make it to me in time to head to Nova, but oh well. :)

Nice Rhino. I like everything about except the rear ramp. I've always been a proponent of dressing up the rear ramps of Rhinos because they are so monolithic and so void of detail. Freehand, decal, or molded add-on parts do wonders for the back view.

Give that lady a tramp stamp!
