Hello!

Hello all!

I live down in the Greater New Bedford area where, as far as I can tell, there isn't a lot of gaming going on?

The last time I played 40K was at Adepticon 2012.

I gave 40K 6th the skip entirely, and I haven't picked up 7th yet.

I'd love to be able to meet up with a group of INFINITY players as smaller scale skirmish games seem to be all that I have time for these days, in terms of painting and playing.

Also, is there a local chapter of Kickstarters Anonymous I could join too?

Welcome to the boards!
We don't have many Infiniteers yet, but hey, we have a bunch of gamers who are usually up for exploring new realms.

Hey Alpharius!

Used to live down in Dartmouth, little more northern these days. I used to frequent a few shops in that neck of the woods but they've all closed. I heard Table Top Games in Fall River opened recently, maybe they have some stuff going on?

I'm big Infinity fan, but there isn't too much of an Infinity community around here yet. I know there are some rumblings about getting some events going locally, but its still a tough go. There is an ITS tournament at CaptainCon next month you might be interested in, too.

I've been playing mostly Malifaux as of late, which is another awesome small scale skirmish game. Great mechanics, strong balance between the factions, and the background is really, really cool. Might want to give that a go, too.

I'm always surprised that we don't have more gaming stores/activity down here with Umass Dartmouth in the area...

I find that with kids, job, home, etc., I've been really into more skirmish scale things (Infinity, WWX, DeepWars, Various Kickstarters, etc.) vs. 40K.

Is there a local store that supports Infinity?

Hobby Bunker looks like it's starting to support it. The issue for them seems to be space... they're running low on room for things there from what I can see...

Aside from that, I haven't seen much so far.

On a good (no horrible traffic) day, the Hobby Bunker is probably a little over an hour away from me.

I'd make the drive to start playing Infinity though!

WAY over an hour away!! I think battlegrounds stocks infinity. It is much closer.

Only an hour and fifteen, according to Google Maps!

INFINITY players are rare - I'll travel that far to find some! :P

I've got a decent sized Combined force... but I've never actually played... there's a couple of more guys with small forces. I think right now we're in a "wait for the next edition" mode. I know the Malifaux 2nd Edition was a huge improvement to that game, and we're expecting/hoping that the next Infinity edition will have a similar effect.

Worst case at least we don't have "previous rules baggage" in our brains!

Alpharius, Battlegrounds in Plainville is like right down the street from where I live, I have no idea if they stock Infinity but I'm sure they wouldn't mind us taking up some table space and spreading the word.

I have more than enough terrain to outfit a table (or two) if you'd like to throw down sometime?
