Warboss in Worcester

Hey, folks,

I stumbled across DM when I was on a huge GorkaMorka kick last year, and put off registering until now 'cause I was in school (and then friggin' unemployed), but now that I've been learning a bit of 6th edition 40K, I'm looking to get back in the game. I'm 34, been playing since there were Squats and the Imperium had an army, on and off (completely off during the course of 5th ed). I'm an Ork guy mostly, with enough vanilla beakies (Crimson Fists) to put up a decent resistance when I'm trying to teach somebody the ropes.

I'm also big into Specialist Games stuff (Mordheim, GorkaMorka, (Net)Epic, Blood Bowl, and old-ass Space Hulk 1e - looking to get into Necromunda, with an unassembled pile of Ash Wastes Gangers gathering dust, but none of my regular opponents play it, so I haven't bothered to get'em done) and RPGs (AD&D, mostly, bit of Traveller and Cyberpunk 2020 when we get sick of that).

Hoping to get into a game at the Eagle's hall at some point, although we have a pretty well-appointed game room with a brace of terrain if anybody's closer to Worcester. Looking forward to losing hilariously.

Welcome!

You found the right group of people. We support a ton of different games - Necromunda, 40k, Bloodbowl - so we are in your neck of the woods. We currently have a Necromunda thread around somewhere in painting and modeling.

Welcome to our little corner of the internet.

Welcome.

Tere is a group of us that recently got into Necromunda and are enjoying it thoroughly.

I have a load of Epic and would like to learn it at some point.

There's a lot of Blood Bowl action to be had and some 40k too.

I've actually been messing around with NetEpic, basically it's Epic like it was when I dabbled in it waaaaaay back when. Free to download, community support, has army lists for newer forces (DE, Tau, etc.) as well as the classic stuff. I'm digging it. That said, I'd be down to check out the newer versions.

Welcome to the boards. Hope we get to meet you in person. If you're up for the drive to Watertown, let's definitely throw some dice together some Thursday evening.
