Apocalypse: Tyranid vs. Eldar 7000 Points

This link was passed to me by an old friend who recently got back into the hobby. It is long form so skip to the 20 minute mark if you want to skip the presentation of the battlefield and forces.

You just linked to his youtube page. Here's the video itself:

I'm not normally a fan of video battle reports, but I like putting this guy's stuff on in the background while I'm painting. I can look up and there's always some beautiful terrain and models on display, and it goes long enough that I can just paint for an hour and change without having to fiddle around and change videos.

Thanks for the link fix. That was the link that was given to me to check out. I think it's probably a better idea to look at his youtube channel to see the types of things that he posts if you aren't interested in eldar vs. nids. It doesn't hold any more weight than any of the other batreps, painting guides and codex discussions that are posted.

I totally agree with leaving it on in the background. That's what I plan on doing too - leaving it on while I work on the hobby. I need the inspiration boost too. I would judge these guys as being pretty devoted to the hobby and their standards for playing, painting, and terrain is good.

I wish I had a clean, well-lit, high-ceilinged hall like they have to play in. It's not someone's basement, it's for serious 40k playing.

I would kill a man for that terrain he plays. There's some games which are clearly at a store or club and some which look like they're in his house or whatever, and both of them blow most terrain I've seen out of the water. He even has some of those old card buildings redone in a denser material like Dylan has too!

Yeah, I watched the Guard vs Tyranids battle the other night. They played on an urban play-matt (need to get one of these sometime in my life) and it was centered around what looked to be a large Styrofoam bunker but it had so many plastic bits on it and texturing that it looked like a resin kit.
