Looks like fun! Thanks for posting these.
I had forgotten how alluring Man-of-War looks. Have to give it a try some day.

I'm running it Friday, March 31 at HAVOC if you want to swing out to central MA:
http://havoc.battlegroupboston.org/

It's a beer-and-pretzel classic. You take turns activating squadrons: move up and fire. What you need to hit is determined by the ship you're shooting at. Hits are saved based on the armor at the hit location (harder if you're at short range, easier at long). Locations can only take a certain amount of hits, after that each hit there rolls on the crit chart. Crits mostly make you sink, but there are other effects.

We have great fun reading spell and MoW cards in suitably dramatic voices to exasperate others in the group.

Those Epic battles look awesome! Naval games have never been my cup of tea, but those Man O' War games do look lovely.

Yeah man o war stuff looks great. Makes me wish my mom didn't throw it away during a spring clean back in the day. Where are people getting these ship models? Because I want some.
